Hi all! I’m Andie – a self-taught plus sized sewist. I live in Toronto, Ontario. Canada, and have lived in several provinces on the east coast of Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland). In my spare time when I am not sewing, I perform improv comedy and geek culture in the city. My sewing ranges from costumes/casual cosplay to vintage dresses to everyday basics to bramaking.
In 2016, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I advocate for disability and chronic illness awareness, as well as blogging about sewing accessible garments. I also manage the Instagram account @chronicallysewn for sewists with disability and chronic physical and mental illnesses.
I am married to a wonderful man, Velvet, and I identify as queer, bisexual and genderqueer.
